Professor Williams Abayaawien Atuilik is a distinguished scholar and practitioner in accounting, public financial management, and governance. He is a Visiting Associate Professor of Accounting at Abilene Christian University, USA, and currently serves as Provost and Dean of the School of Graduate Studies and Research at Heritage Christian College (HCC), Ghana. Prof. Atuilik is a Chartered Accountant and a Barrister-at-Law, with additional professional credentials as a Chartered Tax Consultant, Chartered Banker, Chartered Economist, and Chartered Economic Policy Analyst. He is the Managing Partner of Massim Consult, a firm providing advisory, audit, research, and training services, and a Partner at Akanbek, Atuilik & Associates, a firm of barristers, solicitors, and tax consultants. He has held senior advisory roles with international and multilateral institutions including the World Bank, World Health Organisation, Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA), and DFID-funded programmes, providing public financial management support across Africa and Asia. His experience also spans academia, public service, civil society, and private sector leadership. Prof. Atuilik has served on numerous corporate and public boards and is a former President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He holds a PhD in Business Administration (Accounting) from Capella University, an MSc in Public Financial Management from SOAS, University of London, and executive training from Harvard Kennedy School.
